Structures

Structures

Obsessions, people worship these things

Without knowing

They’ll give their whole life to them

Without even knowing why

Or

That they’re even doing it

Many have failed

Yet they retain their status

As false idols

What power have they

That they are blindly honoured

By those they victimise

I know why though

Without structure we dissolve

And that can

Be scary

But I’d rather fall apart

Than be held together by something

So useless and futile

I got my wish and it was

Devastating

Pure and utter chaos and wild pain

Now there’s a rebirth

And I feel myself coming together again

Free of these shackles

At least so I hope

And think

And wish that freedom for all

Those who can

Bear the weight of being free

From structures
